If you are using Google Chrome on a Mac OS computer to play Yomi and Puzzle Strike, and have performance problems (low framerate, unresponsive interface), try installing and using Google Chrome Canary instead - it fixes many performance problems from the main branch of Mac Google Chrome. Canary is a "beta" branch of Chrome that installs side-by-side with the normal Chrome.
Those performance fixes will eventually exist in the normal version of Chrome, but until it does, you can manually get them through Canary.

We're starting the gold test period for fantasystrike.com, which is the test for the actual mechanics of gold.
During gold test, everyone starts with a bunch of gold, and the gold you gain for playing Quick Matches is ridiculously high, but regular character access rules will be in effect:
- If a character is free this week, you can play it all you want.
- If a character isn't free that week, you must own it in order to play it. You can buy characters with gold at the Store (linked in topright of the page).
- During gold test, you can't be a subscriber, so you must use gold to access characters.
Since all gold and owned items will be reset at the end of gold test, this is the best time to whip out your black hats and try to break the system. Let us know of any stupid or broken ways you find to game the gold system.

This weekend there will be two online tournaments for Sirlin Games, one for you to watch, and the other for you to enter. The first is Saturday (tomorrow) at 7 PM GMT (which is 11am Pacific Time) and it's an invitational Yomi tournament with four top players, casted by Aphotix. The players friiik, MarvinPA, Choke Artist, and CrystalChaos. Watch the exciting online cast here tomorrow.
The second tournament is Sunday, and it's an online Puzzle Strike tournament open to all. It uses all of the expansion characters and puzzle chips, as well as all of the base set with some of the recent experimental changes. It also uses the new "panic time" rule that increases the size of the ante that goes in your gem pile if the game goes too long. Everyone is welcome to enter, and you can sign up here.
