Hey guys! It's World Champion garcia1000 here. But enough about World Champion garcia1000, winner of Yomi ladders and tournaments. Recently, our valued community member "Beikoku Taichou" has been making 8-bit retro sprites, like the ones that have appeared on the Puzzle Strike chip screens. He is the hardest working Fantasy Strike sprite maker of all time! Let's show him some appreciation for these lovely sprites he recently made: This is exciting news and Beikoku Taichou is, even now, hard at work making more sprites for us all! In unrelated news, other people also tried making some sprites.
Pole-dancing Grave is quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever been privileged to witness. I like to think he's working undercover at a strip joint while investigating shady goings-on.
Good job. They'd look a little stronger with less colours--or a couple more colours to up them to 16 bit quality.
Hamvvar, garcia's resizing seemed to do wacky things to the colors. The grave sprite should have 7 colors in total (plus a transparency.) Admittedly more than your average NES sprite (Mega Man was on the high end, actually made of two separate sprites for a total of 5 colors + transparency) but I'm taking a liberty in order to make the character more recognizable. This and more will be covered in a future blog post, but thanks for the feedback
