There are some other mechanics that could be played with though. For example what if a hero had an ability that during the day was a global sight range increase and during night was a global sight range decrease for the enemy team? Possibly with some other small effect to make it a useful ability. Just in general stuff that is equally strong, but different, in the 2 phases. Stuff like that would make it so that it wouldn't be in direct contention with the existing vampire hero. Anyways all of it kind of moot, the day night cycle is stupid baggage to begin with.
